Think of India and one of the first things that comes to mind is its diversity. The languages are numerous and every state is unique in its traditions and... its food! However, the common thread that runs through all Indian cooking is the use of numerous spices to create flavour and aroma combined the freshest ingredients. Our ethos at the Biplob is to share with you the array of dishes taken from all over the Indian sub-continent... brought to you in the traditional homestyle cooking techniques of our Bangladeshi heritage...
In Old Town Swindon for over 30 years...
The Biplob first opened in Swindon in the late 1980s. It's aim was to make and offer authentic Indian Cuisine of the highest order. Very soon The Biplob had started to make a niche in the hearts of those whose palates appreciated the specialities we had to offer. It is our continued desire to offer cuisine as served in our Indian sub-continent, coupled with the highest standard of service and hospitality, with these specific aims and the personal touches that have put us in a position to seek and gain national recognition.

Over the years the Biplob has won many awards, the latest being the: TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2014, BCA Caterer of the Year Winner 2013, Pride of Swindon Award-Winner 2012, Swindon Evening Advertiser 'Best in Swindon' 2009. In addition The Biplob name has become well-known for our outside catering services and for supporting the Swindon Mela, the largest Asian Festival in the South West, since 2004. The Biplob is also proud to have raised over £20,000 for local and international charities including the Prospect Hospice, Swindon Lions Club, Swindon Community Radio plus local schools.
Our restaurant is the ideal venue for charity fundraising evenings, where our staff are only too will help organisations - big and small - raise as much money as possible for good causes.
